In the light of the UK involvement in the Yemeni conflict as well as insufficient media attention devoted to the crisis unravelling in the country, UN House Scotland decided to hold this Conference to offer a unique opportunity for the Scottish public to gain a better understanding of the current Yemeni crisis. The themes cover the roots of the ongoing conflict, its humanitarian and economic consequences, the role of regional and international actors, with particular emphasis on the UK and Scotland, as well as failures of the international community in resolving the conflict.
